Oracle Database In-Memory Workshop

Oracle Database In-Memory is a brand new feature of Oracle Database that enables data to be stored in memory in dual format – either row based (for OLTP queries) in Buffer Cache or column based (for analytic queries) in In-Memory Column Store. This session will show how you can start using Oracle Database In-Memory, how your SQL statements benefit from optimizations that In-Memory brings and how to identify which optimizations have been used. It will also explain concepts of bloom filters that are used in Oracle In-Memory as well as in Exadata systems.
